Devon Westhill is a criminal trial lawyer with the Galigani Law Firm. His practice focuses on protecting the rights of individuals who have been accused of committing criminal offenses for which their lives, liberty, and livelihood hang in the balance. Devon also assists students who have been accused of university conduct violations, and represents individuals fighting for the return of their property unjustly seized pursuant to civil asset forfeiture laws.
Devon is a Gainesville, FL native and received a Gainesville public school education. After an enlistment in the U.S. Navy, Devon earned a B.A. from UNC at Chapel Hill and a J.D. from UF Law. While attending law school, Devon was a Florida Supreme Court intern for Justice Charles T. Canady, a law and policy intern for U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, and an Executive Editor of Volume 37 – Issue 1 for the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy. Devon also served as President of the UF Law chapter of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies and served as Chairman of the executive committee for the Federalist Society’s 33rd Annual National Law and Policy Symposium held at the University of Florida.
